Gilda, Take 2

Get ready for a whole lotta pictures. I'm too tired to pick through them & figure out which ones are my faves, so I'm just posting the few I've edited so far.... I'm betting I won't get any complaints ;) Especially from the fellas!

Cheer up? Maybe...

I think that one day I'll be able to look back on this dark period of my life and learn some valuable, mind-altering, earth-shattering lesson.

But right now, all I wanna do is cry. Alot.

The past 6 months of my life have been an absolute roller coaster of emotions. Memories that I'll never, ever forget.... and some that I wish I could.

I'll admit that I'm not the funnest person to be around right now. I try, I really do. I honestly feel sorry for my friends - those that have cared enough to stand by me through it all. [you know who you are...] Everyone has their way of trying to cheer me up, and although I can't say it always works, I am MOST appreciative of the attempts.

I will say, this puts a smile on my face every time though....

Meet the female version of my brother Chris - his daughter, Trinity. =)



She's so outgoing, confident, & just... well, SASSY.



We're so proud of her! She's been auditioning for parts, commercials, etc... her most recent trip was to Las Vegas & she got 8 call backs! She's going to LA in January. :D



Chris used to aggravate her all the time about getting her autograph... he'd say "you better go ahead & give me your autograph now, so I won't have to pay for it when you're famous!" She told me at the funeral that her daddy wanted her autograph but she never gave it to him, and wanted to put it in his casket. So of course we scrambled up a pen & paper, & she obliged... in bubble letters. ;)

Oh & P.S. - Congrats to Gilda, her mom called last night & apparently she won Miss Photogenic in the Miss Motorsports Pageant. YAY! :D

Anyway! I have a shoot with this lovely young lady for senior portraits on Sunday - These were just quick shots for a pageant she's in. This was our favorite...

She makes a girls' job super easy =) GOOD LUCK GILDA!

We had Haden a birthday party at my house yesterday... it was alot of fun, but bittersweet. I kept thinking how much Chris would have loved it.... and wishing he was there.



But one look at his kids, & I knew he was. I see so much of Chris in their eyes....

My how you've grown...

I've been all nostalgic this morning, looking through old blog posts & stuff... & realized, I'm such a slacker! I used to be soooo good about posting - & it's so nice to go back through & see how the kids have grown. Here's a quick shot in the backyard of my baby girl - taken back in April - the wind was blowing that kids hair EVERYWHERE. Not the best shot of the bunch, but I never did edit any of the other ones - BAD MAMA! Gotta get to that.... just as soon as I clean up the water she just poured in the floor - ugh! =)

Thanks so much to everyone for the sweet comments & emails. I can't claim this picture... but since some of you didn't know my brother... I thought I'd share a snapshot. This is him goofing off at church during game night :) It's *so* Chris. It makes me smile.

I love you, Chris. I miss you so much it hurts. :(
